Sheep producers in the west of the country, in particular, continue to face major challenges selling slaughter-fit stock.
Protesters have prevented sheep from entering Dawn Meats, Ballyhaunis, and Kepak, Athleague, and the latter has elected to cease processing in all plants.
This has left many sheep producers caught in the crossfire frustrated, with the mart trade for slaughter-fit lambs also suffering and limiting alternative sales options.
An agreement remains in place to allow sheep to be processed in Kildare Chilling, while the two Irish Country Meats plants in Navan and Camolin, along with Ballon Meats and Moyvalley Meats, are unrestricted.
