Dowra Mart saw decent numbers present at its final sale for 2025 on Friday last.

Mart manager Terry McGovern noted that trade was similar to the week previous, with good demand seen from agents for heavy well-finished lambs, despite the short number of days left in the kill, but light store lambs were a tough trade.

Factory lambs above the 48kg mark with ample flesh sold in the main from €163 to €174/head, with this being the top price agents were willing to give, with price per kilo coming in between €3 and €3.37/kg, with the highest price being a batch of heavy ram lambs weighing 58kg selling for €175/head (€3/kg).
