Venue sought for 2018 sheep shearing championships
The Irish Sheep Shearers Association (ISSA) is seeking expressions of interest from clubs or organisations interested in hosting the 2018 championships.

The secretary of the Irish Sheep Shearers Association, Eileen Coffey, is asking clubs and organisations interested in hosting the 2018 All-Ireland and All-Nations Shearing and Wool Handling Championships to make contact.
"The host committee, in conjunction with the ISSA, will organise the two-day event that usually takes place on the June bank holiday weekend," she explained.

"The organisation is flexible on the part of the country we travel to in 2018 and are open to talking to all interested parties. With shearers from all corners of the world attending, it is guaranteed to be a great spectacle and fun-packed weekend."
The 2017 Kepak All-Ireland and All-Nations Shearing Championships took place in Kiltoom, Co Roscommon, where Donegal native Ivan Scott claimed the All-Ireland title. Welshman Richard Jones claimed the All-Nations championships.
