Met Éireann has issued a yellow weather warning for conditions it says are conducive to the spread of potato blight in early sown crops for parts of Clare, Limerick, Kerry and Cork.
The blight warning applies from Friday afternoon 6 May 2022 and will end on Saturday afternoon 7 May 2022.
Crop spraying chances will be limited, according to the broadcaster.

A blight warning is made by Met Éireann when it forecasts a spell of mild and humid weather conditions to last long enough for potato blight spores to develop and subsequently spread to nearby plants.
Blight warnings issued during the first two weeks of May will always include the specification for early sown potato crops.
