Another sizeable package came to the market in Tipperary over the last three weeks, with the impressive 98 acres at Leugh near Thurles on the shelves.

The farm, which will be publicly auctioned on 28 November at 2.30pm in The Horse and Jockey, is yet another example of a high-quality farm that is generating serious interest in the county.

Speaking with Alison De Vere Hunt of Cashel Marts over the course of last week, multiple farming enterprises have been looking into the sale, with those of bloodstock persuasion also enquiring.

The 98 acres at Leugh, Thurles, Co Tipperary, were offered in five lots by Cashel marts in late November.

The lots

The farm is being offered in five lots. Lot one is an attractive bungalow residence with mature gardens that is being sold on 14 acres, which also includes the old farmyard. This is guided for €280,000 to €300,000. The house is in good condition and is being lived in.

The second lot is almost 15 acres of grassland and this guides for €130,000, or over €8,700/ac.

The third lot is the largest, encompassing 50 acres, and guides for €600,000, or €12,000/ac.

The fourth lot is a 20-acre parcel with a derelict house and is priced at €225,000, or €11,250/ac.

So far, interest seems to be predominately in the individual lots, but the entire is also being looked at.
