Irish Agri Auctions, a recently formed firm, held its third auction to date on Wednesday last 21 April.

Held in conjunction with Mid-Tipp Thurles Mart, the auction kicked off at 7pm.

A total of 122 lots were offered on the evening with a clearance rate of 84% being achieved.

The company told the Irish Farmers Journal that over 400 registered bidders signed up. Commission was charged at a rate of 10% for items sold up to €1,000 and 5% for items sold above €1,000.

Some prices on the day included €3,100 for a 12ft Nugent tri-axle plant trailer, €3,670 for a 12ft Aerlite livestock trailer and €8,700 for a fresh 16ft Kane multi-purpose trailer on flotation tyres.

The group’s next two auctions are set to take place over the bank holiday weekend.

The first is a general yard clearance on Friday 30 May while the second auction has close to 500 lots and will take place on Bank Holiday Monday from 12pm in conjunction with Ballybay Mart. Both auctions will be held on the MartEye app where catalogues can be viewed prior to the sales.

This 2016 Broughan 26ft livestock trailer was sold for €15,900 (excl VAT).

This 2020 (202) registered Toyota Landcruiser with 36,000km sold for €38,900 (no VAT).

This 2018 New Holland T7.190 with 4,600 hours and a front end loader remains under offer at €63,000 (no VAT).
