Glanbia says it has submitted plans to expand its research and development operations in Ballyragget. The company has lodged a planning application with Kilkenny County Council for an extension at the plant. A decision on the application is due on 14 November.
The development will see the construction of a mini pilot plan, laboratories and associated buildings.
Glanbia has recently expanded its R&D team and it is expected that this investment will help deliver more innovative and added-value products.
