The Dealer hears that the recent 32-County Bale Challenge was a phenomenal success in raising money for two very deserving cancer-related charities, the Ronald McDonald House at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, Dublin, and Daisy Lodge, the Cancer Fund for Children therapeutic centre in Newcastle, Co Down.
The Active Agri Association, helped by the Grassmen, set out to make 100 bales in each Irish county and raise at least €32,000 for charity. They smashed that target.
On Friday, a cheque for €60,000 will be presented to Ronald McDonald House and Daisy Lodge.

I’m told that some of the biggest donations came from Corby Rock, AgriGear and Country Crest, while the machinery used was donated by machinery dealers nationwide.
