Cattle prices are holding steady at Clogher Mart, with another big entry of over 1,100 head forwarded for sale on Saturday.
A smaller entry of bullocks saw slaughter-fit animals sell to £1,615 for an 840kg Simmental animal. Heavy cattle sold from £1,310 for a 690kg Charolais to £1,550 for a 760kg Limousin animal.
Angus bullocks sold to £1,345 for a 660kg animal, with a 610kg animal making £1,330. Mid-weight stores between 400kg and 500kg sold from £1,030 to £1,140 for good-quality continental types.

Heifers saw a bigger entry on Saturday, with prices peaking at £1,505 for a 740kg Charolais animal. Other noted prices for slaughter-fit animals saw a general price range of £1,175 to £1,350 for continental types, while native breeds sold to £1,140 for a 630kg Hereford.
Lighter heifers sold from £940 to £1,050 for good-quality store animals suited to a short intensive finishing period. Cull cows sold to £1,429 for a 680kg Belgian Blue animal.
