Bullocks 400-550kg prices went from €360 to €775 with the €/kg

There was 153 heifers available and prices ranged from €347 to €735 with their weight. Just like the bullock sale heifer prices took a jump on last week with many up 20c/kg on last Friday. Most were yearlings and most sold north of €2.40kg with stronger lots going up to €2.80 and beyond for exceptional heifers. Traditional beef bred heifers tended to be close to €2.30/kg but younger heifers pulled in more per kilo.

The calf sale consisted of 105 bull calves and 85 heifers. Friesian bulls sold from €120 to €195. Angus and Herefords bull calves sold for €170 to €365 with heifer calves of these breeds selling for €150 up to €280 a head. Continentals bulls sold for up to €445 and heifers for up to €390.
There were 50 dry cows sold again this week and 90% of these were factory ready cows. Overall prices ranged from €160 to €725 over the €/kg with the vast majority of cows trading for €330 to €420 with their weight. Sample prices
