I hear the sale of a major dairy farm on the Cork/Waterford border is almost a done deal. All the talk on the ground is that the 185-acre dairy farm at Carrigeen Hall, just outside the village of Conna, has been sold for a substantial figure, believed to be in the region of €3.5m.
Local speculation suggests the buyer is from Youghal, with development land interests.
This blue-chip dairy farm is developed to the highest spec, including a recently installed 30-unit dairy parlour. With a modern residence and an annual payment of over €33,000, Carrigeen Hall was one of the most complete properties brought to the market in 2014.
