In our first supermarket price survey of 2014, conducted by Ciara O’Kelly, Tesco reigns victorious with the cheapest basket of all the supermarkets surveyed. Ciara found that rising prices seem to be a trend in all retailers however, with the cheapest block of Kilmeaden cheese being 50% more expensive now than it was in a survey conducted in September 2011. Ciara also found that Lidl was by no means the cheapest when it came to branded products.

Our cover star this week is Susannagh Grogan, whose silken scarf collection is stocked in Brown Thomas and Harvey Nichols, and has been gifted to Hollywood A-listers including Michelle Williams and Melissa McCarthy. This lady has had incredible success overseas, having designed prints for Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret, and Macy’s, while last spring international lifestyle brand, Anthropologie, commissioned a special collection of Susannagh Grogan Scarves for their Regent Street and Kings Road stores in London.
