Recently, details of the actual numbers of cows per county on the island of Ireland were released, showing Cork is leading the way, followed by Tipperary and then Limerick. Up North, Tyrone leads the way, followed by Co Down, which is followed very closely by Co Antrim. While milk yields may be a lot different between counties, there are 10 counties with over 70,000 dairy cows. The county with the least amount of cows is Leitrim, followed by Dublin.
