Camelait Milk Powder and Camelait Premium ice cream were launched in Dubai last week.

Fresh camel milk, flavoured milk and camel milk laban are already marketed in the UAE by Al Ain under the Camelait brand.

While Gulf Cooperation Council countries remain the core market for Al Ain camel milk products, Western demand is increasing for camel milk, which is low in fat, high in calcium, and a rich source of protein.

The camel ice cream is available in Date, Saffron, Cardamom, Chocolate, Caramel, and Lite Rasberry Vanilla flavours.

With new studies showing the promising benefits of camel milk, it is the company’s mission to ensure these locally produced products are available to consumers in EU, North America and around the world.

AL Ain Dairy was established in 1981 and has overcome the challenge of producing milk on an industrial scale in the dessert, where it manufactures a wide range of camel and cow’s milk products.

The company described this latest development a "monumental achievement not only in the history of Al Ain Dairy, but in the UAE as a whole".
