The National Ploughing Championships 2017 will have the first showing in Ireland of the full range of new Deutz-Fahr 5 and 6 Series tractors, along with a new C7205 combine.

The 5 Series is offered from 75hp to 125hp with a variety of specifications and options from the award-winning ‘‘Stop & Go’’ feature and ‘‘SDD’’ steering, making it the ideal loader tractor. Other features include three-speed powershift, electronic lift and a high-capacity hydraulic system that will cater for the mixed and smaller arable farmer.

The 6 Series is a completely new range from 156hp to 226hp, with the latest Deutz Stage IV final engines, a new adaptive front-axle suspension system and front linkage with 5.5t lift capacity. It comes with a Maxivision cab, which has new control arm layout, and Agrosky precision farming ready capability. Every model in the range is offered with three specifications of transmission, Powershift, RCSHIFT and TTV. The new RCSHIFT is a fully automatic powershift transmission with robotised gear shifting, providing 17 working speeds from 5km/h to 20km/h, added to which 50km/h can be achieved at 1,447 rpm.

An enhanced hydraulic package is now offered with up to seven spool valves, 170l/min LS hydraulic system and 10,000kg rear-lift capacity.

The C7205 is the smaller model within the C7000 range at 309hp to 340hp with five straw walkers. The C7000 is a new-look Deutz-Fahr combine, which has been styled in partnership with Giugiaro Design, and still retains the many unique features – removable step grain preparation pan, turbo fan, large sieves and the double grain return (DGR) system, which keeps the threshed grain in excellent condition.

The Commander V Cab has been redesigned with new multifunction control arm and redesigned controls and display. New LED light packages enhance the driving experience of this new mid-range straw walker combine.
