The cover price of the Irish Farmers Journal increases by 20 cents this week. It reflects an unprecedented increase in the price of paper over the past 12 months.

The price per tonne of paper has doubled since January this year and is approximately 140% higher than this time last year.

In response to these inflationary pressures, we have also deployed a range of internal measures to further improve efficiencies in our use of paper without compromising the quality or amount of content we produce and provide each week.

Meanwhile, we will continue to invest across our print and digital products to ensure that we bring our readers valuable, unique content that both informs and entertains.

We would like to thank all our loyal readers for your continued support and hope you understand the reason we have reluctantly decided to increase our cover price. As always, I appreciate your feedback and comments to: jmccarthy@farmersjournal.ie
