Family farm safety event at Gurteen

The number of farm related accidents and fatalities is not decreasing according to Teagasc.

The safety event will include interactive demonstations on quad bike safety.

Interactive farm safety demonstrations, a colouring competition and a trip to the pet farm, are all aimed to provide a fun, farm family safety day at Gurteen Agricultural College on Saturday 28 April.

A number of stakeholders have joined forces to promote the event, which aims to educate different generations about farm safety. Interactive demonstrations will focus on issues such as quad bikes, livestock management and slurry dangers.
