Transition year students from the Royal and Prior held an animal version of The X Factor in Raphoe Mart on Wednesday. Patrons donated to Concern Fast to receive judging cards to allow them rank animals. Teacher Seamus Maguire described it as “a fundraiser like no udder”. One parent donated a calf which was auctioned off. A bake sale and guess-the-calf-weight competition was also held. See www.farmersjournal.ie.
