In the meantime, we are restricted in what we can say about them apart from the changes to the Fendt CargoProfi loader range.

The important news is that Fendt has new engine technology on the way. This includes some new electric tractor technology that it has up its sleeve to compete with the John Deere E series tractors seen at the most recent Agritechnica Show in November 2011.

The company has also expanded its self-propelled silage harvester range with more Katana models that deliver more power. We will have to wait a little longer for the final details to emerge.

Fendt has forecast there are new big tractor features on the way as well as changes to their combine harvester models. These are very similar to the Massey Ferguson models featured in last week’s Irish Farmers Journal machinery pages.

For the upgraded Fendt CargoProfi tractor front loader range, the big news is the option of a weighing system that’s compatible with the Fendt Vario terminal.

All of the settings and the operating system of the Fendt CargoProfi loaders are integrated in the overall design of the tractor.

This feature also allows the loader functions to be preset for specific needs and it provides it with a load weighing feature.

The new Fendt loaders can be fitted with an integrated weighing system to monitor the weight of individual bucket loads, as well as the overall and target weight of the payload.

Using a preset memory function, the precise position of the arm and the attachment can be saved.

This allows repeated loading sequences to be called up immediately and are simplified. The system, operated through the tractor’s Vario terminal, allows the driver to limit the working range of the arm. With the system, the lift height limit can be preset for loader work in low ceiling buildings.

The new generation Fendt CargoProfi loaders have a shake function. This claims to automatically shake off any material that is stuck in the bucket. Vibration damping for the loader is automatically activated and is dependent on tractor speed. Fendt claims that this guarantees high speed driving comfort.

There are three models in the Fendt CargoProfi front loader range for tractors in the Fendt 500 and 700 series. Fendt claims that the loaders are suited to these models as they are fitted with the Fendt VisioPlus cab which has a window that curves up into the roof.

This claims to give good all-round visibility, even when the front loader attachment is fully raised. This is needed for the Fendt loader range as they protrude a bit further in front of the tractor compared with many of the competitive loaders.
