Simmental bull calves sold to £320, with Hereford bulls selling to £250. Shorthorn bull calves sold to £265, with Fleckvieh bulls selling to £210. Friesian bull calves sold to £250 for stronger lots weaned off milk.
Heifer calves were also a super trade. Prices reached £375 for a Limousin animal. Strong Limousin heifers sold above the £300 mark, with younger lots making £205 to £220.
Blue heifer calves sold from £225 to a top of £280, with Angus heifers making £280 to £350. Hereford calves sold to £300 with Shorthorn heifers selling to £295.
