The Irish Limousin Cattle Society will again be making its way to Tullamore to attend this year’s National Ploughing Championships. The stand will be located in the recognisable Little Red Barn (block one, row 18, stand 417).

The stand will be located in the recognisable Little Red Barn (block one, row 18, stand 417).
Both pedigree and commercial cattle will be on display, and the stand will feature breed promotions, Limousin merchandise and hospitality.
Society staff, along with council members, will be on hand at all times to answer all queries and to explain why Limousin can work in different farming setups. A representative from Ashbourne Meats, which operates the Limousin Bonus Scheme, will be on hand to explain the requirements and advantages of the scheme.
The Limousin cattle on display will comprise of some of the prizewinners from this year’s national show, and will include the show champion Meelickaduff Honda ET. Also on the stand will be cattle which are a typical example of the type that will be on offer at the society’s autumn and spring sales.
The Irish Farmers Journal recently reported on the €360 weanling price differential between quality weanlings and poorer grades.
A number of prime commercial Limousin cattle will also be on display at the stand to show just why Limousin cattle constantly hit this higher grade.
