Glanbia has held its milk price for June supplies, the processor announced on Wednesday. Member milk suppliers will receive 28.9c/l excluding VAT for standard constituents of 3.6% butterfat and 3.3% protein.
This includes a support payment from Glanbia co-op of 0.47c/l excluding VAT.
Glanbia chair Martin Keane said: “Glanbia Ireland has maintained its base price of 30c/l (incl VAT) for the high-volume month of June. However, milk suppliers should note that returns from the market are below the current farmgate price. The board will continue to monitor developments on a monthly basis.”
Glanbia are the second co-op to set a price fro June milk. Lakeland held its milk price for June at 29.7c/l excluding VAT for standard constituents of milk.
