The nimble JCB 403 Agri compact loader is mostly used on pig and poultry farms. The loader is powered by a 35.5hp (26.5Kw) engine. It comes with a two-range hydrostatic four-wheel drive transmission.
It can be fitted with the standard or high lift arms, giving load-over heights of 2.6m (8ft 6in) and 2.8m (9ft 2in) respectively.
The updated machine sees the addition of a new folding canopy. This is an alternative to the fully glazed and heated cab.
It was introduced so the machine could work in areas with restricted heights.

JCB have also introduced new options to increase the loader’s ability to work with hydraulically-powered attachments.
This comprises of twin auxiliary hydraulic lines for equipment with two hydraulic cylinders to operate and a free-flow return line for implements needing a constant flow of oil.
The new vari-speed feature allows ground speed to be adjusted separately from the engine.
This means that revs can be kept up to provide sufficient hydraulic power to the auxiliary hydraulic line while operating the loader at low speed.
Other new features include new LED lighting package options and a heavier counter-weight allowing for an increased lifting capacity of 151kg.
