A fine farm of 55ac with exceptional road frontage has come on the market in Co Louth.

The land is at Oberstown Cross, Ardee, and it will be sold in an online auction by DNG Royal County on Thursday 13 May.

The farm is located 3km south of Ardee town on the R165 Kingscourt road, between the N52 Ardee to Kells road and the N2 Ardee to Collon road.

This means it is close to the Meath boarder.

There’s top-quality land around Ardee and, according to auctioneer John Farrelly, this farm has excellent land with no waste and is in a mix of grass and tillage. The land is laid out in three divisions and will be offered in three lots.

Lot 1 is 26ac, recently planted with a crop of potatoes, with a natural water supply and 500m of road frontage on to the R165, Kingscourt Road. It will go on the market at €340,000, says John Farrelly.

Lot 2 is 26ac in permanent pasture with a natural water supply and 750m of road frontage between both the R165, Kingscourt Road and John Street. It too will go on the market at €340,000.

Lot 3 is a 3.2ac site. It will go on the market at €90,000.
