Strautmann has finally unveiled its new Magnon forage wagon. The firm has opted for plastic tines over the conventional steel. The tines are arranged in six V-shaped rows. Steel strippers are mounted in between them. The tines can be changed without the need to remove the bands, just by removing one bolt.
The pickup is now powered hydraulically, allowing the speed to be adjusted depending on the conditions. It can be set to auto-mode, where the pickup speed is matched to the speed of the tractor.
The Magnon is the first Strautmann wagon to feature a hydraulically pivoting front panel.

Exact-Cut is a new cutting unit fitted with 48 knives and a theoretical cutting length of 35mm. The knife protection system will retract the knife from the rotor if a foreign object is encountered. The knives automatically return to their working position.
The Magnon is the first Strautmann wagon to feature a hydraulically pivoting front panel. The front panel helps compress the silage, offering up to another 5m3 capacity. The control terminal is Isobus compatible and has a 5.7in touch display.
It will be available in three versions – the 430, 470 and 530, with a loading capacity of 42, 46 and 52 m3, respectively.
