The new KV knock-on point makes changing plough points faster and easier, using a hammer and chisel to knock-off the old point and knock-on the new one in two actions.

The Knock-On system has been used on cultivators and is now available for its conventional plough range.
Using a hammer and chisel, the Knock-On point requires just one ‘knock’ to remove the worn point and one knock to install the new point. Kverneland claims that the knock-on tip can be changed within one 10th of the time required for a reversible point. In abrasive soils where points must be changed frequently, or when having a large plough, five furrows or more, it claimed a 90% saving in time.
Kverneland claimed that its own tests have indicated that the Knock-On point can be worn to 75% of its original size before needing a change, instead of 60% for a reversible point.

There are two parts to the system – one is a holder which is bolted in place where the point would be and the second part is the tip itself. Kverneland claimed that, on average, one Knock-On holder will last for three Knock-On points.
Knock-On holders and points are identical for Kverneland ploughs and Kverneland cultivators. Prices are not yet available for the Knock-On system.
