Czech tillage equipment manufacturer Bednar has appointed its first dealer in the west of Ireland, namely Quigleys Garage.
Quigleys is a Claas dealer located in Ahascragh, near Ballinasloe in Co Galway.
The dealer is also an agent for brands such as Strautmann, HiSpec, Broughan, Teagle, Bomford and NC, etc.
Established in 1997, Bednar manufactures tillage equipment and is today exporting to 39 countries worldwide. Products include cultivators, seeding, inter-row cultivation, mulching, fertilisation and crop residue management. Bednar currently has 550 employees, with the company claiming to build in the region of 4,000 machines per year.

Bednar is still a relatively new player in the Irish market, with its official Irish launch at the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show in November 2024. Since then, the brand has hit the ground running with the appointment of five other dealers, namely Farmworks Machinery (Dublin), Alan Douglas Farm Machinery (Kildare), Murphys Motors (Kilkenny), Kearney Bros (Cork) and Mc&S Agrisales (Cork).
