Earlier this year, Manitou announced that all Mustang skid-steer loaders sold from spring 2019 would be rebranded in the Manitou colours for its European market. Mustang has been building skid-steers since 1965 and continued to do so right up until the company was purchased by Gehl. Gehl was then purchased by Manitou in 2008.
This week the firm showcased its first own branded skid-steer in Ireland at the Ploughing. The only real difference between the Gehl skid-steer and the Manitou machines is the colour scheme. The model numbers remain the same and they are mechanically unchanged.
Manitou displayed the 2600R at the event in Carlow. This machine has a lifting height of 3.124m and a lifting capacity of 1,179kg. It’s powered by a 72hp Yanmar engine. Weighing in at 3,719kg, it has a tight turning radius of 1.626m.
