I heard a very good one this week about how stressful milk recordings can get on dairy farms and how they can have detrimental consequences on marriages.

I was talking to a man who was at a conference in Kilkenny recently, who told me that a woman stood up and said that milk recordings are the biggest cause of divorce on farms at the minute.

She demanded “less sensitive” milk meters for the parlour and marriage counsellors in the pit.
