The Farm Safety Campaign 2016 will run from 11 to 22 April 2016. YFDGs are being asked to run an event locally based around farm safety and to send all planned events to kmarkey@macra.ie for promotion. Remember to add your event to www.macra.ie
Young farmers can avail of Macra na Feirme Young Farmer Skillnet training – certified farms safety. The course will include completion of risk assessment which is necessary for TAMS applications, etc. The cost is €20 to Macra members. Locations are: Teagasc, Moorepark – 7 April; Teagasc, Portlaoise – 20 April; and Ballyhaise Agricultural College Cavan – 27 April. All training events will start at 7pm. If other counties/clubs/regions wish to have a course run in their local area, the requirement is a minimum of 10 people from 17 to 40 years of age. Courses are also open to non-Macra members. Please register your interest for the above courses or to arrange another venue local to you at skillnet@macra.ie
Berrings Macra is busy preparing for its upcoming fundraiser. The club’s lip-sync battle will feature members of the wider Macra na Feirme family and it guarantees music, dance and fun. The event will take place in the Muskerry Arms, Blarney, on Saturday 9 April. Tickets are available from club members or can be purchased on the night.
