The Belgian Blue Society staged the Ashbourne Meats All-Ireland senior breeding heifer championship at Ossory Show, Rathdowney, Co Laois, on Sunday. From a strong lineup of heifers, judge Michael Scanlon, Ballyconry, Lisselton, Co Kerry, tapped forward Pinnacle Hardy bred by the late Kevin Banville and exhibited by Thomas Cody, Piltown, Co Kilkenny, as the supreme champion. By Kilowatt D’Ochain, she is out of the dam Rosemount Faith. Close behind in reserve was Boherard Hanky Panky, bred and exhibited by Scott Pearson, Ballacolla, Co Laois. Also by Kilowatt D’Ochain, her dam is Boherard Dazzler.

Not stopping there, Scott was back in the ring again, this time taking the supreme Belgian Blue Championship with the Attribut Du Fond De Bois son Boherard Index. He is out of Laurel Lodge Cloe. The same calf went on to take the interbreed calf championship at Ossory show.
