Gill Hall Estate sale

On Friday 13 March, Gill Hall Estate will host its annual production sale of pedigree Angus and Shorthorn cattle. Home to Old Glenort Angus and Uppermill Shorthorns, the sale will consist of 15 Aberdeen Angus and 13 Beef Shorthorn cattle.

Catalogued for the sale is a range of bulls and heifers from the herd’s most recognised lines, including a number of the 2025 show winners. The sale will take place on farm in Co Down at BT251LJ. Viewing is available from 4pm with the sale taking place at 7pm.

Premier Limousin show and sale

The crème de la crème of the Limousin breed will be on offer at the Irish Limousin Cattle Society’s Premier show and sale in Central Auctions, Roscrea, on Monday 16 March.

Catalogued for the show and sale are 62 bulls, from some of the country’s leading herds. All bulls are export tested, fertility tested, genotyped and SCEP eligible.

Buyers can also claim €400 back on a new Limousin bull through the society’s upgrade scheme. Judging will kick off at 9am followed by the sale at 12.30pm.

Kilkenny Bull show and sale

Hosting its 106th annual show and sale of bulls on Wednesday 18 March in Kilkenny Livestock Mart will be the Kilkenny Agricultural Show Society. With a large selection of 42 Angus, 14 Hereford, 11 Friesian and 9 Limousin bulls catalogued, it promises to have bulls to suit all systems and budgets.

Judging will start at 10am, with the sale taking place at 12.30pm, ringside and online through MartBids. Two sale rings will be in operation, with Angus in ring 1 and Friesian, Hereford and Limousin in ring 2.
