A beef farmer from Co Cork who got 525 points in the Leaving Certificate has enraged and amused the listenership of RTÉ's 2FM in equal measure.
The Dealer certainly doesn't know what to make of him.
Kev was first heard on 2FM presenter Eoghan McDermott's show on the day the Leaving Certificate results came out, complaining about the fact that the researcher had not called him when she said she would.
Eoghan eventually wrangled the truth out of Kev about whether the researcher had left a voicemail on his phone, but Kev was still playing games, telling Eoghan he wanted a different song played to the one he'd originally requested...
"Haemorrhage Green"
The next day Kev was back on air having found out that his prize was tickets to a Hermitage Green concert in the Olympia, or "Haemorrhage Green" as he called them.
The farmer from Cork wasn't too impressed with the prize, saying he "probably wouldn't go to the gig". When Eoghan asked Kev what brings him joy in life, he was quick to reply: "Farming, silage, anything like that."
Nor was he impressed with Eoghan's knowledge of farming. "Are you going to go out after this and be one with the silage?", Eoghan asked Kev.
"If you knew anything about silage, you'd know it's almost over now," he bluntly told the presenter.
Kev then asked Eoghan to send a limo down to him to collect him and bring him to the Hermitage Green gig.
"Send a limo down sure," he said. "RTÉ has plenty of money".
The conversation got very weird then, when Eoghan brought ostriches into the equation.
Finally Kev asked the presenter for tickets to Monaghan man Marty Mone's concert so he could sing along to "Hit the Diff".
Bunny
The next time Kev was on air with Eoghan, he swapped the Hermitage Green tickets for a picture of a bunny from a Hermitage Green fan.

Eoghan brought Kev onto the show one last time the next day when Dan from Hermitage Green and Marty Mone came on air with him. Despite his insults they both surprised him with tickets and the Hermitage Green frontman even offered Kev his dad's chauffeur services to bring him to the gig. But, unsurpisingly, he drew the line at bringing him back.
By the end of the conversation we think Eoghan had had enough of him. But to be fair to Kev in the end he got two sets of tickets and a lift. Lesson: don't underestimate the bargaining power of a beef farmer.
