The Department of Agriculture’s assistant secretary general Colm Hayes has moved on to take up the role of director general in the global and economic division and the Asia-Pacific unit in the Department of Foreign Affairs. The official spent 15 years in various roles in Ag House, with his tenure seeing him in key positions on forestry, as well as dairy and beef policy.
I wonder could he help navigate Ireland’s dairy exports out of China’s firing line with the new role.
