The advert is entitled ‘Memories in the Making’ and was launched this week. It centres on the generational linking of families. And what ties them all together? Butter, what else!?
You can watch it here, it’ll get you right in the feels.
The Dealer still prefers the old “who’s taking the horse to France?” but this could be another classic in the making.
Kerrygold success
Kerrygold’s success is now global.
Its butter is the number one butter brand in Germany as well as being the number one imported butter brand in the United States.
The strength of the Kerrygold brand has helped butter prices reach record levels of €7,000/t.
Kerrygold is owned by Ornua (essentially all the irish co-ops) and it is targeting €1bn worth of sales for the Kerrygold brand as whole. It not just about the butter, with Kerrygold having yogurts, biscuits and a cream liqueur too, you know!
The Dealer likes the bit of butter on the scones alright.

Kerrygold was one of the few butters in our tests that spread well when cold, without crumbling or lumping too stubbornly on the bread, the New York Times has said.
Ciaran Aylward, economist at Ornua, was speaking at the Global Dairy Outlook panel at the Irish Farmers Journal Dairy Day in Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
