The society is run solely by agricultural science students from all years with all funds raised throughout the year donated to charity.
The money was raised throughout the 2016/17 academic year through various fundraising events organised by the committee and auditor of the society Seán Holian.
A pedigree Charolais heifer was raffled, along with other fundraising nights such as a charity boxing night and ag week.

Cystic Fibrosis Ireland was chosen as the main charity this year and received a donation of €40,000. Embrace Farm also received a donation of €10,000 to help it with the great work it does supporting families who have lost a loved one through a farm accident.
