North Cork IFA elects new chair

Anne Baker is the third woman elected to an IFA county chair in the latest round of AGMs.

The IFA has announced the election of Anne Baker as chair of its north Cork county board, following a vote at the AGM on Monday night.

From Mitchelstown, Baker was previously chair of north Cork IFA’s farm family committee. She is taking over from outgoing county chair Billy Cotter.

While there were no sitting female IFA county chairs until recently, Tipperary IFA elected women to both its north and south chairs last month.
