Sales of new tractors in Northern Ireland for the first seven months of 2020 were down 36% on the same period in 2019, figures from the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) have shown.
With 27 new tractors registered in July, the total number of new tractors registered in NI for the first seven months of 2020 is 256 units, down 145 units on 2019. This means the NI market has accounted for 5% of the total UK sales so far in 2020.
With 868 units registered across the UK in July, this was 44% lower than July 2019. The total UK registrations for the year to date is 6,063 tractors, 28% down on the same period last year.
