A circa 25.9ac non-residential holding in north Mayo has recently come on the market. Listed with Ballina-based Fox and Gallagher, the property at Moyne, Killala is for sale by private treaty.

The land is presently all in grass and could be described as typical of the area, predominantly good grazing ground with some pockets of rougher grazing.

The Monasteries of the Moy greenway divides the property in two.

Approximately 17ac is on the northern side of the greenway and this contains a higher proportion of good grassland, relative to the balance of the land directly across from it. There is water on site and good road access.

It’s less than a five minute drive from Killala and 1km northwest of Ballina.

Describing the property, auctioneer, Karl Fox says: “It’s a nice piece of ground and the fact there is road frontage and a number of other houses close by, [means] there is site potential here. It’s very close to Killala and Ballina isn’t that far away either so it may suit a local.

“It’s a good bit of ground and would make an excellent add-on to and existing farm or as a standalone holding.”
