Two mid-sized parcels of land are coming up for auction in Co Meath. One is near Trim, the other near Oldcastle and both are to be sold by REA TE Potterton on Wednesday, 8 May.

First up is 20ac at Kilnagross, Trim. The location is 3km out from Trim in the direction of Kildalkey.

The land is in one field and has road frontage on one side and the Tremblestone River on the other. The land is good quality and suited for any farm enterprise, auctioneer Thomas Potterton says. It is currently in cereal stubble and was previously used for maize. The guide price is €12,000/ac to €13,000/ac.

Good cattle handling unit

The second block of land is 26ac at Galmoystown, Oldcastle. The location is close to Fore village, 14km from Oldcastle and 16km from Kells and the M3 motorway. The land has frontage on two roads.

It is laid out in a number of fields and is in permanent pasture. It has a natural water supply from a small stream. There is a good cattle handling unit on the land with a chute, made with galvanised steel. The guide price for this land is €8,000/ac to €10,000/ac.
