An 81ac residential farm at Ballyhane, Cappoquin, Co Waterford sold under the hammer for €1,950,000 at auction on Friday last. Auctioned by Dungravan estate agents, REA Spratt, there were five active bidders at the public auction held in the Park Hotel, Dungarvan. Between them, 21 bids were received before the gavel fell at €1,950,000. This equates to €24,074/ac.

A mix of grassland and tillage, the land is all in one block and fronts onto the N72 road. The farmyard with a derelict house is located in the centre of the holding. Extensively concreted, the farmyard itself had limited modern facilities but has a good base to develop as required.
