Met Éireann has issued a status yellow warning for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow and Waterford.
The warning is in effect from 9pm on Sunday to 9am Monday.
Between 20mm-30mm of rain is expected.

Rainfall had been 20% below normal for the majority of the country for October and the beginning of November, however Met Éireann says the dry spell is likely to come to an end.
Rainfall for the next ten days will increase by up to 300%, with the south of the country likely to be the worst affected.
