According to Tony Pettit, Head of Education at Teagasc, courses in agriculture and horticulture have changed radically over the last few years as they are now all "nationally accredited with 12 courses on the CAO list". There is also now the opportunity to progress right up to honours degree level.
Moreover, in-line with the recommendations of the Food Harvest 2020 Report, the Teagasc professional diploma in Dairy Farm Management has also been introduced.
