Contractor Anthony Kelly draws silage for suckler farmer Tom Moore at Clonmacnoise, Co Offaly. Tom is hopefull that given the Shannon low water levels, that he may get a cut off the Shannon Callows this year. The Callows are a stretch of flat lands lying between Athlone where the Shanon flows out of Lough Ree, and Portumna, Co Galway, where it enters Lough Derg. \ Philip Doyle

Triplet calves surprise in Co Laois
Brian Donagher and his daughters Meghan and Rachel with triplet calves that arrived last week. The Dam, a 6 year old cow who last year had 1 calf and the year before had twins surprised Brian with the triplets in Portarlighton, Co Laois \ Claire Nash
