Pat Knox and his son, Tom, run their dairy farm from Cashel, Piltown, Co Kilkenny. Since 13 February, their herd has been out daily, weather dependant. Like many farmers, their fodder source has become scarce in recent weeks, but they have been able to purchase some from other farmers in the area. They hope that the weather will improve in the coming weeks so they can move their cattle out to graze full-time. \ Philip Doyle

Suzanna Crampton is a sheep farmer in Maidenhall, Co Kilkenny. As well as being a farmer, Suzanna is also an author and teacher, and is releasing a book this June. The book is based on her cat who helps to shepard the sheep. In order to conserve grass, Suzanna is having to move her sheep every evening to fresh grass.
