Agrigear’s tyre range covers models that are suitable for grain and root-crop trailers, silage trailers and wagons, bale trailers, dump trailers, cattle trailers and farm implement trailers.
On 1 January this year, the new trailer regulations were introduced. These new rules allow one extra tonne per axle to be carried where flotation tyres (greater than 500mm) are fitted, but it is important to choose the correct type of tyre to suit your application. With trailers operating at maximum capacity, tyres need to run at the correct pressure in order to increase wear and reduce the risk of tyre failure.
The total weight and speed of travel are key considerations that determine the correct choice of tyre and operating pressure. All tyres have a technical data chart to indicate the maximum weight allowed at a given speed and a given operating pressure. If these guidelines are adhered to, you are helping to maximise the lifespan of your tyres. Always refer to tyre technical data charts for the correct information.
RIDEMAX FL-693M
This steel-belted radial flotation tyre is suitable for both field and road work and can carry loads at higher speeds of up to 65km/h. With a square block-type tread pattern, it provides smooth on-road operation, as well as good road-wearing characteristics and is ideal for contract work. This tyre is available in numerous sizes in 22.5, 26.5 and 30.5 rim diameters. This tyre is particularly suitable for grain, root-crop and silage trailers and, in more recent years, has been fitted on dump trailers due to its high load carrying capacities and 65km/h speed ability.
FL-630/FL-630 PLUS/FL-630 SUPER
This radial flotation tyre range incorporates a special technical feature of bi-directional tread design, which delivers the same performance in either direction. The shape of the footprint area is specially designed to minimise the impact on soil structure, which makes the FL-630 tyre range ideal for modern agricultural equipment.
The open design of the tread pattern ensures that the tyre keeps rolling in soft ground conditions and also gives the tyre very good cleaning properties. Some sizes are now available in steel-belted (FL-630 SUPER) versions offering extra tyre strength.
FL-639
This radial flotation tyre was designed for high load capacities at low inflation pressures and its wide footprint area makes it suitable for soft soil conditions. Particularly suitable for silage trailers and silage wagons, this tyre delivers minimum soil compaction, preventing damage to crops.
The open grip of this tyre ensures good flotation and it performs particularly well in wet, heavy ground or soft soil conditions where it reduces ground compaction, while also offering an excellent cleaning and rolling ability.
FL-648
This cross ply flotation tyre is suitable for agricultural implement machinery, both on and off road.
The design of this tyre allows the carrying of high loads at low inflation pressures, which minimises soil compaction and reduces damage to crops. This large flotation tyre also helps to reduce soil compaction, especially during headland turning in wet conditions. This tyre is suitable for silage trailers and silage wagons up to 16ft.
RIB-900/AW-708
Suitable for bale trailers, implement trailers and small farm trailers, the RIB-900 and AW-708 tyres are cross ply implement tyres that offer high load carrying capacity with minimum soil compaction and are suitable for both on and off road applications.
