Rauch unveiled its latest MDS spreaders at Agritechnica. The MDS 18.2 and MDS 20.2 are set to replace the current MDS 17.1 and MDS 19.1 models.
Both new models can accomodate larger extensions, the smaller 18.2 spreader now has a max hopper capacity of 1,800l (previously 1500l) while the larger 20.2 machine has the ability to carry 2,000l (previously 1,800l). Both machines retain a single hopper design with an octagon-shaped base plate.
Shutter and application rate scales are now mounted on the tractor side of the spreader, with better visibility from the tractor cab. The larger 20.2 model is fitted with a brace between the frame and the three-point linkage for greater support when loaded.

The new MDS machines can now more accurately spread up to 24m. Brush units are fitted to hopper outlets on both models for safe delivery of fertiliser onto the discs.
Optional extras include the Telimat MDS headland spreading kit as well as the GSE limited border spreading kit. LED lighting boards are also optionally available. It is believed these models will not be available in Ireland until late 2020.
