The Durrow Scarecrow Festival has something for everyone, with the highlight being the All-Ireland Scarecrow Championships in which over 120 scarecrows compete to win a prize fund of €3,000. Other events include live music, craft workshops, the annual duck derby and much more. Crowds of 18,000 were recorded in 2014. Admission to scarecrow village costs €2 per adult and children go free.
