Replacement tags can be ordered by scanning the barcode of the existing tag on a phone using the app.
Datamars said that new tags for calves can also be ordered via the app.

Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed has previously stated that Electronic Identification Tagging (EID) could be coming down the line for cattle, with EID for sheep already under way.
The advent of a new tagging app could be seen as an aid to the potential unrolling of bovine EID in the future.
