We’re blue in the face from saying this at Irish Country Living, but getting your college grant application in on time will save you a lot of heartache later on. The deadline is this Saturday 1 August. The online application system was opened two weeks earlier this year and as of earlier this week SUSI had received 85,000 of an expected 110,000 applications. Graham Doyle, head of communications and customer service with SUSI, has the following advice for students who have made applications: “After we receive online applications we write to students requesting supporting documentation. It is imperative that students get this requested documentation back to us within the specified timeframe, otherwise there will be a delay in the processing of their applications.” So don’t delay.
